PRO-E-BIKE Kick-off Meeting

PRO-E- BIKE project Kick- off meeting was organised in Dutch city Nijmegen by project partner Mobycon. The meeting was held on 8th and 9th of April 2013. The first day of the meeting took place in Hortus-Arcadië botanical garden in which personnel is considering  to use e- bikes for conducting their daily work in the garden. Furthermore, the city of Nijmegen expressed interest in the project and is considering to invest in e-bikes for their own services. This significant interest in the project and e-bikes, indicates that there is a fruitful ground in Netherlands for the project uptake.

In total 18 participants coming from all partner organisations, project officer, two representatives of DHL Netherlands and organiser of Cargo bike event, Mr Jos Sluijsmans attended the meeting.

The project meeting started with short introduction by the coordinator, after which all partners presented themselves and organisations they are representing.  The project officer, who attended the event on both days, introduced EACI and IEE programme to project partners, with special focus on obligations and expectations from this project. The project dynamics and responsibilities were establish, as well as tasks for the forthcoming period. Next project meeting will take place in October 2013 in Italy.
